Media Channel Manager

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Media Channel Manager. You will be an experienced and technically minded, data-driven SEO expert helping to drive positive change to support the growth of the Freemans brand, through the SEO channel. You will be working cross functionally with the FGH internal teams (brand, onsite and IT) as well as working directly with our media agency, responsible for managing SEO activities including link building campaigns, content creation, on page optimisations and technical audits working with IT to carry out the required technical onsite changes. You will also be responsible for reporting SEO performance and consulting internally on all SEO metrics, striving to grow visibility and ranking performance for our critical keywords to drive strong ROI performance.

This is a hybrid role - working at least 2 days in the office with the remainder from home.

Role Responsibilities

  • Carry out keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for target key terms and on-page optimisation.
  • Optimise on-page content e.g. meta data, landing page copy etc. and work with wider teams to advise on best practice
  • Work with the SEO agency to execute digital PR campaigns and ensure backlinks are clean and valuable.
  • Work with our IT team to deliver technical optimisations that are Google and Customer friendly
  • Work closely with our IT teams to deliver complex website migrations ensuring that SEO best practices are adhered to to preserve organic search performance.
  • Work closely with the PPC team to create an aligned keyword strategy and work to reduce costs
  • Educate FGH internal teams to ensure they understand how SEO contributes to business performance, how their roles and tasks can impact SEO performance and that they are aligned to SEO goals and objectives
  • Champion SEO best practices: recommend changes to website architecture, content, internal linking and other factors to improve SEO performance.
  • Manage agencies, third party suppliers, including tool providers and client success teams
  • Stay up-to-date with Google algorithm updates, monitor impact and overcome any challenges that they present.

About you

  • Proven experience of working in digital marketing in an SEO role for 5+ years
  • Strong technical SEO understanding, including knowledge of crawlability and indexability
  • Experience working on complex website migrations and necessary requirements to protect SEO performance
  • Experience of working with and managing a digital media partner
  • Understanding of on-site customer journey and website development and the relationship between them and SEO
  • Experience using excel and web analytics tools
  • Experience using SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Screaming Frog and Sistrix
  • Experience reporting on core SEO metrics and performance to stakeholders and management
  • Educated in Marketing, Fashion or Business Studies to A Level or Degree Level, OR have relevant experience
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • High level of drive and motivation
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy
  • Well organised and able to co-ordinate across departments and third parties
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Can work individually or as part of a team
  • Able to commute to Bradford city centre
