Regulatory Compliance Co-ordinator

About the role

To be responsible for the co-ordination of activities relating to Regulatory Compliance monitoring; Regulatory Advice; Risk and Control.

Role Responsibilities

§  Support the Regulatory Compliance Manager, Risk & Compliance Assurance Manager and the Risk and Compliance team with any compliance matters (as required)

§  Support the identification, rating and tracking of risks, issues and breaches through to closure in a timely manner

§  Support the review and updates of compliance processes, and policies across FGH

§  Supporting the administration and oversight of compliance monitoring activities to ensure that all actions are tracked and updated on a timely basis

§  Preparing periodic Management Information (MI) for reporting to governance committees

§  Undertake routine compliance monitoring checks

§  Support the embedding of a compliance and risk-based culture which promotes integrity in all aspects of our relationships with customers, 3rd parties and regulators, ensuring alignment with the values of the business and FCA principles

§  Update and manage the Risk & Compliance Calendar

§  Assist in the collation and analysis of MI produced internally

§  To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and other persons who may be affected by acts and omissions at work

§  To be committed to the fair treatment of customers at all times

§  To take minutes for governance committees and circulate to all committee members

§  To assist the Compliance Manager with Horizon Scanning

§  To assist with Regulatory Reporting activities

About you

Essential

  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience in Financial Services
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the FCA regulatory Framework. CONC, PRIN and DISP knowledge will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of the key regulatory issues relating to credit
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Powerful communicator (written and verbal)
  • Enthusiastic and committed team player with flexible and adaptable approach
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to think clearly and logically with good analytical skills
  • Must be customer focused, ensuring the fair treatment of customers and the delivery of appropriate customer outcomes
  • Strong investigatory skills

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience gained within the consumer credit industry preferred
